2026 Honda City Facelift Launched in India with Sharper Design and New Features

Honda has officially introduced the 2026 Honda City facelift in India, bringing refreshed styling, upgraded cabin features, and added safety technology to one of its most popular sedans.

The facelift gives the City a sharper appearance, particularly at the front. The sedan now features slimmer LED projector headlamps connected by a full-width light bar, along with a redesigned honeycomb-pattern grille replacing the chrome-heavy setup from the outgoing model.

The bumper has also been redesigned with larger air intakes and more angular elements, adding a sportier character. Along the sides, the City gets newly designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear receives updated tail lamp graphics and a revised bumper. The redesigned bumpers have also slightly increased the car’s overall length.

Inside, the biggest highlight is the new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Other additions include Type-C charging ports, Ivory White upholstery, improved seat cushioning, and ventilated front seats. The single-pane electric sunroof remains part of the package.

Higher variants continue to offer Honda Sensing, the brand’s Level 2 ADAS suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, auto high beam assist, and lead vehicle departure notification.

Under the hood, the City retains its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic.

The City e:HEV hybrid also carries forward its self-charging hybrid setup combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor system. The hybrid delivers a combined 126 hp and 253 Nm of torque through an e-CVT gearbox, with claimed fuel efficiency of around 27 kmpl.

The refreshed Honda City will continue to rival models such as the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtusin India’s midsize sedan segment.
